"So I come to this ACE pretty frequently. One of the two same ladies working the register and I have 2 small brackets without the receipt and want to do a simple exchange. She first tells me yeah without a receipt we can only do an exchange. And I say perfect. That’s what I’m here for. Then she says we don’t do exchanges. Needless to say this ace is going on the blackout list. Over 6 or 7 bucks. You just lost another customer that’s been with ace for 47 years. And Since I owe zero on my Ace Hardware, I will close that account. And that’s OK if I get a few points taken off my credit for closing an account."

"What a great local hardware store. They may not have 100 aisles or everything the bigbox Hardware store have and some items might be a few dollars more. However, to me, Ace has overall a more knowledgeable staff. Plus, they are locally owned, and I will always go there first so my dollars go to people and not investors in giant corporations."
