The Brandywine Restaurant

"Food, service and ambiance are all 5 star. Waitress was great, food was delicious, and ambiance is totally relaxing. So why 2*s? Management. We were about to order an after dinner drink when what I believe to be the owner came over and said (and this is pretty much a quote): "party's over.....this table is reserved". As we were leaving, he came back and when we said how rudely we felt we were treated, his response was "just leave". We paid $270 to be treated at the end of what should have been a lovely evening, like an unwelcomed guest. Does not make either of us want to give them -- or their sister Snuff Mill Restaurant -- another $270 soon.....despite the great efforts of their wait and kitchen staff. Very disappointing aftertaste after so delicious a dinner."

Cocktails by Chris are magnificent way to start your dinning experience at this magical restaurant. The menu was designed with so much thought and culinary professionalism. Wine list is unmatched. Owner Bill Irvine has truly gifted Wilmington with this amazing establishment. Everyone working at this restaurant from manager to every single individual treats guest with such culinary excellence. "They've been in business only two months, but this was one of the best, most elegant meals we've enjoyed in Wilmington in many years. Every dish was impeccable. The environment is intimate, with only 12-15 tables plus the bar. Carl's table service was attentive, kind, and engaging. What a special night! Thank you!"

"The Brandywine Restaurant is a truly " Fine dining experience" by far the best in the State of Delaware. From the moment you arrive you are treated like a old friend. The management and staff are professionals who care and understand " Fine dining ". Now the food. It was prepared by Chef Andrew and his amazing staff of 7 chefs and all I can say everthing we ordered was a culinary delight and we look forward to becoming a regular. The drinks were prepared by Chris and Jessica and were outstanding and specially crafted. We were served by Sophia who made our dining experience memorable. And last but not least we who like to thank pleasant friendly staff and the outstanding manager Glennon who made sure every detail was taken care of. If there was a 10 star rating ********** it would not be enough."
