The Parkway Restaurant

"The food was underwhelming, but for the prices it has to hold itself to a higher standard. Shrimp and scallop pasta was under seasoned and lacked salmon, same with the salmon. My lamb was decent, nice plating and cooked perfect, but the accompaniments were cold and the lamb was maybe luke warm at best. I think the place could also benefit from a renovation in the back rooms. The old ceiling fans hanging from the drop ceiling and southern living style signage should be phased out."

"Overall not great. The food was bland in general. The swordfish was salted well but otherwise bland and it was undercooked in the middle. The salmon was well cooked but the coconut carrot puree didn't seem to fit well with the dish. Shrimp and scallop scampi was blandly seasoned with little of the sauce flavor transferring to the scallops and shrimp, though they were well cooked. The service was good and our waitress was very attentive. The back room is for larger parties but it was very dimly lit initially. After asking to have the room brightened twice it was improved though still a bit dim. Overall I would give it another shot but I wouldn't be in a hurry to do so."

"The team at parkway is very friendly, and the atmosphere is welcoming and relaxing. My girlfriend got the Shrimp and Scallops pasta, and I got the Halibut (I believe?) special. The pasta was quite good, and the halibut special was acceptable (although the vegetables were a bit boring and the halibut seemed under seasoned). The Mai Thai cocktail was very enjoyable. From my limited experience in Bethany Beach, I'd say The Parkway is a good place to spend an evening, though I was admittedly slightly underwhelmed with my food."

"I hate to leave negative reviews. I know how tough it is with so many options when it comes to dining out and take out but they gave us 2 of the worst dishes we've ever had. They have a prime beef carpaccio as an appetizer. And the dish was three tiny balls of ground meat with three leaves of arugula and two cherry tomatoes. The ground meat balls were the size of pistachio nuts. See my photos below. The shrimp and scallops in their scampi pasta were just parboiled in a watered down sauce, it seemed as though when they strained the spaghetti they left way too much pasta water on it. They took fresh seafood and wasted it in an overly watered down sauce."
