"From the moment you walk in door, the impeccable service begins. I was given a toothbrush and toothpaste so I could prepare for my appointment. They call the room the brushery which I loved! Jamelia was an incredibly talented and super nice hygienist . Dr. Marshall was also great as she completed my appointment. I highly recommend this dental practice."
"Overall - a decent place for routine cleanings, however I wouldn't recommend much more than that there. The short(ish) version of my experience is I did my Invisalign treatment at the 14th/U location and a few things to look out for... -I was under the impression that an Orthodontist was doing my Invisalign treatment. It wasn't until the end, when my dentist left, that I was transferred to the practicing orthodontist for my final visit (who made a comment that my dentist gave it "her best college try" - yikes - when I shared some final concerns). To be honest, my overall bite is worse post-Invisalign than before. My teeth are straighter, but it definitely resulted in more of a cross-bite than I had before. -Dentist also recommended that I start treatment before having another concern fixed before Invisalign (front bonded tooth). Now, when I do get it fixed, my retainers won't fit and I'll prob have to shell out $$$ for a new set of retainers. -There is apparently a max # of trays included in your Invisalign treatment. That was never disclosed to me until my last visit when I felt there were still some adjustments made and the orthodontist informed me I had reached that maximum. When I started my treatment, the cost/services was provided on a single sheet of paper with bullets written down... no fine print, etc... so that was disappointing to me. This materialized in my final visit when they tried to give me the cheaper permanent retainer option (two, lab made ones from Tend, when my sign-up paper said 4 Invisalign retainers) - and tried to charge me an additional $450 for the Invisalign brand retainers. -Overall, my Invisalign visits were always partially chaotic... either they didn't know which tray I was on, didn't add/remove the right attachment without me saying something, didn't know answers to basic questions about the retainers - nothing major, but definitely a roughness around the edges that one wouldn't expect when paying $5000+ for a treatment and maxing out their lifetime orthodontia benefit.... -Minimal flexibility for Invisalign patients. There were several times throughout my treatment where I was unable to come in due to schedule changes (to be fair, on both ends) - but they also had to reschedule and at one point, I had to go three weeks before picking up my new set of trays during treatment because of scheduling issues on their end. Again, unacceptable when paying for a $5000 Invisalign treatment. -Last thing, they definitely did not remove the bonding from the attachments correctly. I still have rigidness on my teeth from where my attachments were. I also noticed that because of this, it's been hard to whiten my teeth at home and the coloring varies - which I never had an issue with before Invisalign. If you have issues - I recommend contacting Align Technologies (Invisalign's parent company). I contacted them a few times during my treatment with concerns and they were very helpful. Final straw was today when I went in for what I thought was going to be a routine visit. It was somehow marked as a "retainer issue checkin" that I don't recall making... this wasn't my first time having scheduling issues with them either. The staff is definitely friendly - but overall there is a slight immaturity to the office as a whole. Maybe it's because it's newish, maybe it's because of management? Unsure - but I think I'm going to be looking elsewhere."
"I really thought I had found a dentist that I liked especially given their convenient locations. However, after being a patient at Tend for around 2 years, I can say this company/dentistry is a scam. Beginning with the small things, when they first began, they advertised how you could watch Netflix in cool sunglasses. Guess their PE money ran out so now instead of aviators, you get cheap black glasses and a selection of 15 outdated shows to choose from. I start with this because its a metaphor for their services as well. Despite offering a snazzy, luxury experience that promises a wait time of less than 5 minutes (more like 15 minutes), this has rarely been my personal experience. During what would seem to be a peak time when they ought to have more dentists (around 9 am), I have had to wait while my dentist bounces back and forth between multiple patients as she was refilling my cavities. (This was after I had had Invisalign for around a year when they had told me it would take 4 months (maybe not their fault but still pretty annoying that I kept having to advocate for myself and ask for refinements since the plan I was on didn't fix my concerns - long story, short - I had a lot of cavities so multiple visits were needed to refill the cavities in a short period). That happened three visits in a row. Each visit took over 2 hours to fill 1-2 cavities. It made me wonder how it is that this LUXURY dentistry doesn't have more dentists in office so that patients aren't being left with numbing gel in their mouths for half an hour before getting seen. Lastly and most concerning is that when looking at my billing statements from Tend and my EOB forms from my insurance company, I was overcharged on EACH visit. I never would have know if I hadn't checked my claim forms either. Based on only the four visits I had with my newest provider, I overpaid $234 in terms of what Tend charged me and what my insurance said they were covering. When I reached out to Tend they played down the issue and said I would eventually get the refund. It's now December and I am still having to email them receipts of each of my visits going back to September so that they can refund me my money. Its scary to think that if I hadn't checked my claims, Tend likely would have never reached out to me about the discrepancies. I should have known better than to go to the first available dentist. I do not trust Tend and regret ever having become a patient. If I were you, I would check your claim forms as well."
"Fast service, beautiful offices and treatment rooms. I was impressed with the speed of service and that they found an issue a multitude of other dentists had missed. They made me feel comfortable and were friendly, professional, and able to answer all my questions."
