"I wanted to love this place because it’s in our neighborhood and seems like a great resource. But at least during our first visit, it didn’t seem much like a museum for kids. There was a black and white photography exhibit with photos mounted high on the walls, and a small exhibit about an Indian jazz musician that relied on descriptive cards for explanation and there was nothing to touch or hear. Great for adults, but not sure for kids? My little is only a year old, and we ended up just sitting and playing in a room with the blocks and books, both of which we had at home. There seemed to be an art activity of some kind, but there were no other kids doing it and it was far too advanced for a 1 yo. I think this museum is a nice indoor space for a winter playdate, but I wish they had more for my daughter to do—kids her age need color and sensory information."

"Very cute and inexpensive place to spend 1-1:30 hour with kiddos. They have 3-4 art stations, a cute scavenger hunt that kept my 8 yo engaged and a few books to read."

"Beautiful space, interesting art for both children and adults, activities (stories, hands on projects) for the former. The museum has a manageable amount of pieces of art and rooms. It's not overwhelming. Our kid didn't even want to leave, which was a first for an arts museum."

"A place where kids can have fun and make art but it is not really a museum for kids as whatever little art is there is fairly modern and not easy to interpret. Still the kids that came with us had a lot of fun because of all the activities and the things they could make. The staff of the museum help to make things as well Tickets for kids are free for below 8 and $4 for kids till 17. Adults it is $7. They also have books and other small artwork for sale. They also have storytelling sessions which you can find out about by just calling them. The staff were quite friendly."

"This place was absolutely amazing! The staff were pleasant and inviting. Alexander our tour guide was especially wonderful with my students. He was engaging, knowledgeable and very patient. He made the experience for my students as well as for the teachers & parents an experience they'll never forget. The art on display is unique and impressive. They have art by several ethnic artists and the space is large and welcoming. I will definitely be bringing my students here year after year for a field trip. They are also open to the public and we did see a few families with toddlers there."
