"Go every year for the Yale Harvard game. Great stadium and an absolute blast"
"Seats are comfortable with backs and made of wood. Much better than harvard stadium."
"Lot A is best parking. Good for hidden tailgating. Lot F is second choice. Food trucks for concessions is good. Hard to find a hot dog and proper condiments. Restrictions on bags you can carry in are serious. Take your sunglasses. Glare off the artificial turf is significant. Crowd is mostly New Yorkers who didn't get into Harvard or Julliard."
"The Yale Bowl is a great place to watch a game for any college football fan who wants to feel the history of the game. The stadium was built in 1914 and inspired the building of other “bowl stadiums” in the US, such as the Rose Bowl. The stadium was designated as a National Historic Landmark in 1987. The sight lines in the stadium are great and although it fits 60,000 people there really isn’t a bad seat in the house. No matter where you sit it feels like you’re close to the field even though you are actually far away. They still have wooden bleachers throughout the stadium which adds to the sense of history. For most football games there are probably no more than 5,000 people in attendance and you can sit almost anywhere you would like. There is a relaxed fan atmosphere at most games. The stadium is especially beautiful in the fall as you can view the foliage that surrounds the stadium.. For football games the stadium offers a variety of local food trucks that can be found on the outer ring of the stadium. There are also a few moderately priced stadium concession stands. There are also Yale merchandise tents found near the concession areas. Tickets can be purchased at the stadium for most games. You can also get them online. There are many parking options available, and on most days there is plenty of room in the lots. There is a laid-back tailgating scene at most games. Downtown New Haven isn’t too far away. If you can take in the Walter Camp Memorial, which is dedicated to one of the great founders of the game of football. It is located at the entrance to the stadium. Definitely, a must for anyone who wants to experience a historic college football venue. A beautiful place to see a game!"
"Security is very restricted. The supervisor made me walk on the outside to another gate to get in since I was doing some volunteer work. She needed some training on people skills. The other security at Gate 8 were very pleasant and they would let me walk through until Darth Vader the supervisor came and said no. I was escorted by another security guard to my volunteer station. They were very nice at Gate 10."
