"WestMed physicians are excellent. The office operations are antiquated. Wait- times are 1-4 hours, and unless the patient sits in waiting room entire time - no leaving for any reason- patient will lose spot in line. WestMed furnishes only 1 physician at this location- best to visit before lunch."
"I’m not sure why it is so difficult for a doctors office which confirms that they have sent a refill renewal in for birth control does what they say. they will. This is like the third time that this is happened. Outsourcing your customer service to a call center overseas is not helping your practice or patient experience quality."
"Doctors: excellent Desk Staff: excellent The fact that when you call you have to deal with a call center: ATROCIOUS. Takes forever for them just to verify you identity. I've tried using the messaging system and while I do get speedy responses, it still can be very frustrating. I wish I could just talk to the nurse staff or administrator staff as I do when I call my other doctors. If I ever change doctors, it will be specifically because of the call center and poor ability to communicate with medical staff."
"I have no problem with Westmed as an entity. I have been a patient for about 10 years. However, the new portal still has a lot of bugs to work out. I still can't make appointments online. My ire is with the Westmed Greenwich Urgent Care. I went here one morning before work. For some reason, my right ear gets clogged every 6 months or so and I have to have it cleaned out. It causes my equilibrium to be off balance and I get incredible migraines and am dizzy, which I was feeling that morning. My doctor didn't have any appointments, so I figured I'll just go here on my way into work. I didn't wait very long. Typically, my doctor flushes my ear with a large metal syringe filled with warm water. No problems. They didn't use this. They used something else, but were still successful. However, I had a ton of water trapped in my ear, which has never happened before and I have had this procedure done many times. My dizziness and headache were worse. The doctor/NP (not sure what she was but, I think she doesn't work there anymore because she isn't listed on the website) told me if I didn't feel better in a few hours to come back. This is where my anger really started to form. After about two hours at work, I was feeling so sick. I decided to leave and go back. When I got there, the front desk woman was absolutely rude to me. I told her what was going on and that the doctor/NP told me to come back if I wasn't feeling well. She told me to wait. I waited about 10 minutes or so and she came back and told me that the doctor/NP couldn't see me and there was nothing they could do for me, in the rudest way possible. She was a total *itch to me. The doctor/NP refused to come out and speak to me as well. SHE TOLD ME TO COME BACK, if I wasn't feeling well! I will never go back here. Again, I have no issues with Westmed. I typically go to the Ridge Hill location. I love all of my doctor's. I love that everyone is in one building and all of the staff there has always been incredibly accommodating and pleasant."
"If I could give this place ZERO stars, I would. My doctor is amazing however, the front desk staff and the Westmed scheduling system is HORRIBLE. On more than one occasion I’ve come to be seen and encountered a problem. The first incident I was scheduled for a 3 hour glucose test to begin at 9:30AM. I arrived at 9:05AM and was told that I could not be seen because the lab tech goes to lunch at noon. REALLY? I ended up having to go to the Rye location which was more than accommodating and the staff knowledgeable and lovely. Today I arrived at 2:50PM for a 3:15PM ultrasound. I sat patiently and waited until 3:35PM all to be told that I won’t be seen for 30-45 minutes from my appointment time. Mind you, the front desk staff knew this and didn’t say anything to me. If I didn’t get up to ask, I would’ve just been sitting there. I will NOT be returning."
