"This review is for an uncaring nurse on Dr. Siddiqui’s staff. I specifically requested more than a month in advance that my children’s vaccines be administered two at a time by two separate nurses. I discussed this with their pediatrician and he said it wouldn’t be an issue. I also communicated via the patient portal with an LPN there more than a month before my children’s visit who also assured me it wouldn’t be an issue. This isn’t an outlandish request as there is research that shows it is safe to do so and common practice among many doctors. Published pediatricians advocate for this technique. Famously, Dr. Howard Bennet. The nurse who administered their vaccines today must be oblivious to this fact. She made it seem like it was an unreasonable request, though I know it isn’t. She told me I would’ve needed to make the request in advance — which I did more than a month ago. She ended up getting one of her colleagues to help her but, of course, not without acting like it was such an inconvenience for them both and wasting time trying to verify who among her colleagues had told me they could accommodate my request in the first place — as if I was lying. Then she said at the end of our visit that she would need to check with an office manager about whether they could do this again — thereby contradicting her colleagues who told me they could do so. Faith in the health care system is at an all-time low and I would wager it is because of people like Colleen — who, in my experiences, is both uncaring and unprofessional. We should all be kind regardless of what field we work in but especially those who work with children and in medicine. I’m extremely disappointed at what transpired and with the fact that people in this office clearly aren’t on the same page and don’t seem to be knowledgeable of their own practices and industry standards. Today was my last visit to this office. No one should be treated the way me and my children were."
