"Dr. Buchholtz was recommended by another doctor and we took my elderly mother to see him due to the lumps in her throat and neck. My mom was diagnosed with lymphoma. Due to her age and dementia, it was not easy for physicians to communicate and treat her because she would not be able to retain and understand instructions. However, Dr. Buchholtz and his team went above and beyond. They communicated with me and my sister frequently on her treatment, provided us with instructions and were very caring and proactive. Our phone calls were always returned in a timely manner. In time, due to my mom’s age and other factors, her cancer got the best of her and she took a turn for the worse. We agreed as a family, and with discussions with Dr. Buchholtz, to stop the cancer medication that she was on. My mom lived a number of additional months in decent condition but recently passed away peacefully. We informed Dr. Buchholtz and his team of my mom’s death and Dr. Buchholtz immediately reached out to my family by phone to personally express his sorrow and empathy. His words were thoughtful, kind, and helpful. Additionally, we received a symphony card from him and his staff. His warm nature is outstanding and his expertise is invaluable. Throughout the entire process with my mother, which lasted about 7 months, he and his staff gave us 100%. They were approachable, responsive, and sincere. We need more of Dr. Buchholtz and his compassionate staff in this world. I wish I could give him and his staff more than five stars. Don’t pass him and his team up."
