Sift Bake Shop Niantic

"Sift is a world class bakery, worthy of Paris, New York, or Copenhagen. Everything is made from scratch in-house everyday and you can tell. My family is lucky enough to live in town so we try and stop in every Saturday. My go-to order is the Ham and Cheese Quiche (with smoked baked ham, bacon lardon, caramelized onion, leaks, garlic, gruyère cheese). My wife loves the Guava and Cheese Croissant. Other notable items: The Pecan Sticky Bun, the Walnut Chocolate Chip Cookies, and their Custom Cakes make-to-order, we have tried a few for special occasions and the cakes where the talk of the party. This bakery is the stuff of childhood dreams and wonder- if you love pastries, bread, butter, and culinary art made with love then this place is for you."

"Update!! A huge thank you to Sift for taking me up on my suggestion to add ADA accessible tables and chairs to the patio! Cheers to you for putting your customers first! --------------------------------------------------------- Happy to have Sift in Niantic! Be ready to feast your eyes on so many amazing, culinary delights, each a work of art, as soon as you walk through the door. We got the almond croissant bulging with almond crème and big enough for two, the ham and cheese croissant, and the filled peanut butter cookie. The almond croissant was buttery from start to finish. The peanut butter filled cookie was a double treat, and we got a mushroom quiche to go! Prices for all that culinary extravagance were very reasonable. The entrance is accessible for a walker or wheelchair from the parking lot on Grand Street. There are handicap spaces available with a ramp up to the sidewalk. Then there’s a low metal threshold when you open the door. The inside is tight – one way in and one way out. I would suggest one table with chairs be replaced outside that is ADA accessible. We enjoyed having lunch outside on the patio with that gorgeous view. Looking forward to our next visit!"

"4.5. Long line when I visited but moved quickly. Great selection of baked goodies and sandwhiches if you Wang something heavier. The chocolate chip cookie is really delicious!!!! There is some indoor seating as well as a large patio. There is also a really good lunch spot a few doors down if you’re wanting more sit-down fare. Did not see a bathroom inside- Maybe there was one out back?"

"Opening weekend for Sift in Niantic! Sift is in a beautiful new building with full view of the Niantic Bay! The shop itself is small but no worries there is plenty of seating on their outdoor patio. Staff was very busy but well trained in customer service. There is plenty of parking in the rear of the building. Now the food...avocado toast, mushroom quiche, and the best pecan sticky bun I have ever had! Going back soon to try the gorgeous rainbow of deliciousness."
