"I used this service as a one day trial to see how things went. The ladies who cleaned were actually good, but the one star is really for the actual business and business owner --who in my opinion isn't very professional. I also don't know if this is more of a cleaning service who services move ins and move outs type of cleaning-- but not regular clients like 2-4 times a week -- which we are used to having someone every other day of the week, her pricing is pretty outrageous in comparison to what I have seen in our area (Centre Island/Oyster bay cove area and we have a house in Southampton). That being said she quoted a much lower price, then charged an "initial cleaning" hourly for our fist trial day, which ended up being double the price, then she quoted another price for ongoing if I wanted to continue weekly. I also asked if she wanted me to bring cash for payment for them she requested I Zelle her after the job was done (red flag). I have a toddler who was starting her first day of school and a very busy day-- I let her know I would add her info on Zelle and pay her by the evening when I got home (which we did exactly that by 930pm), but she proceeded to text me every hour after she left the house as to when I would pay her about 5 messages between 4pm to 830pm, desperately and annoyingly messaging me which I felt the behavior was very odd. For that alone --I would not use them again and would not recommend them. There's way too many cleaners out there who are good, do not price gouge clients after they come to their house and most importantly behave in a much better and more professional manner. I would imagine she is also probably taking half of the pay she actually charges and giving only half to the ladies doing the actual work which you can find people like this and pay them directly and have a much better experience. We've been doing this for a while. This business is not it."

"I needed a cleaning service for an open house I was having I called around and found universal maids . They seemed competent and responsive but after they left I came to realize they are incompetent. They didn’t clean one of my bathrooms and actually ruined my new hardwood floors with sticky wax . I called to ask them to please come back to fix it or refund my money . I was screamed at and told i can not be trusted and they will not refund me and couldn’t come back for a few days ! Awful customer service ! If you are looking for a detail oriented company do not use them ! Highly do not recommend"

"The women were friendly however we asked for specific areas cleaned such as the ceiling fans and blinds which were dirty and dusty when they left. We paid for a deep cleaning in the bathroom and parts are still dirty, especially the corners, behind the toilet and the shower tiles. We spent $230 for two hours of cleaning which is what they said they needed for the job and they told me they were finished after an hour and half."
