"Dog and parent friendly. Much cleaner than other local dog park! Ample parking, great seating. My pup and I love this place! Had a concerning incident with an angry resident about a quarter mile from the park on my drive up recently but he saw my dash cams and backed off."

"Nice dog park but definitely NOT for the handicapped. It’s a long distance from the parking area to the dog park play area for the dogs. I requested several years ago an option to park closer which resulted in a temporary option of pulling up to the gate, getting out of my vehicle, unlocking the gate, opening the gate, getting back into my vehicle and pulling it through the entrance, getting back out of the vehicle, shutting the gate, locking the gate, then parking the car about 50’ from the entrance and walking on grass or large layers of slippery stone. I even fell stepping into a whole. The steps have to be duplicated to leave. I tried a few other dog parks in the area and Cheshire dog park is amazing! If I could give Cheshire Dog Park 10 Stars I would!!! The handicapped parking area is about 10’ from the entrance to the dog park. There is a paved sidewalk probably 75’ to walk on so you don’t have to walk on grass. Several times people offered to pick up my dogs poop so I didn’t have to walk on the grass at all. Most of the people are responsible dog owners and are amazing people. They even communicated with me that area’s of the dog park were slippery or that the dog park wasn’t plowed or shoveled so I didn’t risk walking on snow or ice. It’s interesting how different two towns can be for there handicapped dog owners. I would give Naugatuck 1.5 Stars! If I could rate Cheshire Dog Park I would give it 10 plus Stars!"

"The folks that run this place are always improving it,they've trimmed the brushy center back to the old rock wall that runs through. There are new very nice picnic tables scattered throughout. I've never seen waste and there are scoopers and bags. The regulars are nice people and dogs"
