"Head out on this 2.3-mile loop trail near Branford, Connecticut. Generally considered an easy route, it takes an average of 47 min to complete. This is a very popular area for birding, fishing, and hiking, so you'll likely encounter other people while exploring. The best times to visit this trail are March through January. Dogs are welcome and may be off-leash in some areas."
"Small recreation area that serves local neighborhoods and those who enjoy fishing, bird watching, and playing in the many streams that intersect with the trails. It can be muddy after rain, snow, or a thaw. Regular hiking boots or sturdy sneakers are good for most parts of the trails."
"This is a great park to visit and it is extremely well maintained. Almost everyone that walks through this park is very friendly and I have never had a problem in the several occasions that I have come here. Most of the trails are easy to moderate for hiking and a great park to visit if you are recovering from some form of injury."
"Great hiking spot. We had not been there since the August 2020 tornado. We were awestruck by the destruction. As of November 1, only the blue trail had significant work to be done. And although it’s a challenge, it can be hiked. Just be aware that there are markers missing and lots of big downed trees in the old path. The rest of the trails are nearly clear."
