"This store is a JOKE. They sell furniture that they don’t even have. You will pay and wait for several months for your furniture and when they finally schedule the delivery, they cancel it last minute or the item comes broken and you have to send it back. Their customer service is the worst I’ve ever seen. I spend one hour with them on the phone and one representative told me my bed was coming and when I ask for an email confirmation she said she couldn’t give me and forwarded me to the delivery department. They told me the opposite, that the bed was not coming and when I said I that this is not what I’ve been told, he hang up on me. I am sleeping on the floor for months!! Please avoid! Poor quality, worse customer service."

"Bought a bedroom set last year. When I moved to a new home 367 days later the movers pointed out to me that the original delivery/assembly by West Elm had damaged the bed in that the screws were stripped. Bed is not useable. I called West Elm and they firmly said that I was 2 days beyond the warranty and they would do nothing. Not exactly the customer service I expected from a high end retailer. Tread carefully with West Elm and consider other alternatives."

"I had an issue with the item and the staff was so kind and helpful. The store of course should have a higher rating but most people are to post a negative review. Thank you so much West Elm staff of Vernon Hills for your always being patient and kind."

"Long story short. Ordered two beds in February, one received in May second never received but money was charged for it in April. Customer service below expectation, they don’t know how to help or check the order. Four month spend complaining to customer service, until in October they found out that second bed newer was ordered. So they order and in December we received defective bed. We cancel order since we already waited for almost a year. It was very difficult to receive money back, it took two month to fight with customer service . Sadly we are loyal customers, because of this situation, newer will return for purchase. Newer was offered any type of discount or help. Would not recommend to order anything from them. Customer service has “0” experience and you wont get your money back. If you see on a picture bed frame does not touch a floor, just wondering how this going to support mattress ? Also upholstery had yellow stains all over . Dont waist your time , do not order furniture !"

"I purchased a harmony sofa, like the one when you enter in the store. I asked sales person, that we want this one, but with bed. After 2 months soda arrived with different chase,( nobody explained to us that sofa with bed will have different chase, very bad service) then we had to go through shop/ costumer service( which is the worst thing ever) THEY MADE ME PURCHASE NEW SOFA, then they said we will start refund only after new sofa arrived ( WHICH WAS NOT AS I WANTED, IT IS VERY STIFF ) then they started refund! I am having smth that I paid very expensive, but not what I really wanted! But worth keeping this, then to deal with them Here is the worst thing to buy even a candle! If I could not give even this single star I would!"
