"First and foremost I want to write a review about the kids academy, specifically about Arielle. Arielle is an amazing teacher, patient, and overall just wonderful. Whenever she’s there, I don’t have to worry about my kid because I know she got everything under control there. Anissa, Hope are all wonderful. Overall the girls at the Kids Academy in Garden City are amazing, highly recommend going here. The overall gym is clean. The staff is extremely friendly, and helpful. The girls at the reception are very nice and kind. I feel very welcomed here. Lifetime offers many classes that is definitely worth the money you’re paying for. Highly recommend Lifetime specifically the one in Garden City!"

"I’ve been a member of lifetime for about a year now. As time goes on I contemplate canceling my membership. The showers are disgusting and smell like urine. There’s barley ever any towels when it’s peek hour. Half the lockers are busted. The sauna has broken wooden floor planks, and the steam room I’ve stopped using completely due to the mold growth. I’ve made a complaint in the past regarding the sanitary conditions in the men’s locker room. They seemed to do some cleaning of the floors. Now we’re back to the disgusting mess. I’ve seen staff at the front desk let non members into the gym just because they know them. Not once and not twice. Not just one person but multiple. If I’m going to pay almost $500 a month between my wife , child and I, then I expect a clean, and sanitary gym, that’s not over crowded with non members. Lockers that function and clean towels. Let’s be real, LIFE TIME garden city. If I were you I would make some serious changes. MULTIPLE people are complaining about the same issues I just addressed. Lifetime is now the next upcoming LA fitness. Believe me, this club shouldn’t be compared to la fitness."

"As a FORMER RECENT EMPLOYEE, I know the ins and outs of the facility. Unless you are rich and lonely, there are many other places to which would better suit you. Life Time Garden City is run down, and poorly managed. The solutions to their problems are usually ineffective band aids. The general manager is slow (if even responsive) to handle issues throughout the club. Rather, he spends his time micromanaging and taking pictures of trash instead of worrying about safety issues included below. Cold? No sweatshirts for the workers! They will provide a T-shirt but not much else. Caught trying to keep warm? WRITE UP. Theres quite a few easy solutions… As a worker, I have never been spied upon by another coworker, had photos taken of my team and myself, on top of criticizing us for working as lifeguards always have and should. When a lifeguard is down, it is time to recuperate from being in the sun, eat some food drink some water and use the bathroom. They are not there to clean bathrooms, fold towels for the whole building, and certainly not to be spied on. This creates a hostile work environment which does not foster any sort of bonding between the team and the management, creating an unaffordable disconnect amongst the “team”. Safety issues include but are not limited to: rusty bolts on the bottom of the lifeguard stand for everyone to step on, wasp hives developing on the water slides, ordering equipment and supplies behind schedule (last summer the shampoo bottles were filled with Dial hand soap; this summer the pool deck is missing a backboard and a canopy for the slide; you really wonder where the $300+ goes every month), holes in the bottom of the pool causing cuts on children’s feet, poorly equipped lifeguards, chemicals are constantly going out of accepted ranges, constantly running low on ice packs, and band aids, elevator ceiling falling on a lady and her son, lifeguard office needs lots of updating and repairing, depth tiles falling out of place, lifeguards being pulled away from the pool deck and not present to respond to potential emergencies, poorly maintained bathrooms (especially during the summer),"

"I love this gym! For parents with kids is paradise! Kids always asked for kids club where they can take millions of classes plus indoor and outdoor pool with the slide!The only thing I would definitely improve is Yoga and Pilates classes - please get experienced and Passionate Instructors like in Equinox! All other work out classes are great by the way, just not yoga and/or Pilates."

"Just started and I am thrilled to report that I am impressed. It's a great gym if you are looking for doing more than just lift weights. Three pickle ball courts, full court basketball, multiple indoor pools, sauna, steam room, a ton of studio classes for different levels of fitness, good quality machines. It's clean, not super crowded and so far everyone has been polite. It's pricey but you get what you pay for. If you take advantage of everything it's a great deal. Highly recommend!"
