"Excellent place for young children!! I’ve been going there for 13 years. Dance Pointe is my second home. The Director, Jennifer is a former prima, and is very well versed in the art of dance. Their teachers are incredibly talented, most of them former commercial and professional dancers and teachers with degrees in the field. Dance Pointe definitely fosters a passion for dance within their students, and prepares them for future endeavors within the industry, but it also teaches younger students about leadership and how to grow not only as a preformer, but also to in their daily lives. I was lucky enough to be one of the first students in Dance Pointe’s Leadership Program, which has now grown to three times it’s size and is filled with dedicated kids willing to learn to teach and give others what they learned there. It’s a truly great place. The value of their programs extends beyond others. They also go above and beyond for students with special needs, as some children who need more accommodations have an assigned teacher or teaching assistant to help them learn in their classes while also getting in social exposure. They are also very conscious about our current situation, as even though the pandemic is coming to a close they still clean and disinfect both of their facilities after each class. Excellent studio, with all the accommodations you could ask for and excellent benefits for your young ones!!!"

"DO NOT ENROLL! Dance Pointe (Miller Place) is nothing short of a disgrace! Although the instructors themselves are sweet, the owner, Jennifer, is very rude and only cares about money. Jennifer preaches the amount of nurture that separates Dance Pointe from other studios, yet she herself is far from nurturing! The nurturing that she speaks of does not even reflect on the classes, but instead, is seemingly a selling point. Before recital, I was assured (3 weeks prior) that Jennifer had possession of my son’s costume. The week before recital, day of dress rehearsal, I remind Jen to bring my sons costume, to which Jen claimed she “couldn’t find it, like it disappeared”. She then claimed to put in a rush order that ended up being sent to an incorrect address (proper management would check shipping address before placing an urgent order I would think!). After ordering a third time, my son’s costume arrived the day of recital, with only a few hours to spare! (What if it was late? What if it didn’t fit? The anxiety this instilled on me was uncalled for!) My son’s acrobatic/gymnastics class was taught by a sweet middle age gentleman, who could not actually do gymnastics. At our new studio, the gymnastics/acrobatic teacher ACTUALLY DOES ACROBATICS, and can lead and teach by example. My son’s hip hop teacher was a young sweet girl, who taught hip hop while wearing her tap or ballet shoes. The choreography taught to my six year old, was something a group of two year olds could have learned! I have NO dance experience, and I am confident that I MYSELF could have taught a more age appropriate routine! Dance Pointe claims you can withdraw from the yearly contract at any time, but the fine print is that you do not get ANY PART of your down payment back! After all of the issues and disappointment at Dance Pointe, the owner did not even care to address my complaints/concerns, but instead chose to ignore them. My child was with Dance Pointe for approximately 4 months, and I spent close to $1500.00, for him to preform in one, 3 minute show during the HOURS of recital. HIGHLY DISAPPOINTED! DO YOUR “HOMEWORK” FIRST! DO NOT CHOOSE DANCE POINT! You can get a better experience for less money at many other studios!"

"The best dance schools in the area by far. The center is spotless, bright, spacious, with 12-foot ceilings, heated floors and state of the art equipment. My son absolutely loves the staff and classes he's currently enrolled in. The staff has tremendous experience in both teaching dance to children and experience on stage as a performer. This brings a different perspective in teaching kidsIve noticed. The studio also provides both drama and music classes as well. I would highly recommend this dance studio to any family in the area."
