"We enrolled our daughter at Bodel when she was 2 years old, and will be sad when she ages out of the program next year. The teachers are exceptional: They ensure the kids have a structured day while maintaining choices about play, organize inventive and enriching activities, and help kids work through conflicts and develop emotional regulation in constructive ways. The high teacher-to-kid ratio in classes means staff are able to provide appropriate attention to everyone without being overwhelmed. Because of the supportive environment created by staff, the kids form tight bonds with their classmates, and it's been wonderful to see them growing and learning together. I'd recommend Bodel to anyone."

"I do not know how the reviews are this low.. both of our sons are at their sea lion (pre-k) and sea otter class. The teachers are absolutely amazing. We have nothing but good things to say about this place and I wish they have a K level here. Maybe because we are from out of the state and the expectations in CT are much higher? not sure. but we are happy."

"My child has been there for the past year and has been loving it. There's always activities to keep the kids active and engaged. The staff at Bodel are friendly and so sweet to the kids. Children must be out the door by 5:30 pm which is a problem for parents who work until 6."

"We have had our daughter at Bodel for around a year now in the infant-toddler room and could not be happier with her experience there. The teachers there are universally wonderful, caring people who are educated in child development and it shows. They have enriching, interesting things for her to do every day. They feed her healthy, home cooked snacks every day. She has learned an incredible amount in her time there. She loves going and often runs in every day when we drop her off. I can't say enough good things about Bodel, if you are able to send your child here, do it."

"We have had two children at Bodel. It is a wonderful place to send your kids. All of the staff there care deeply for children and encourage learning through play. As a working mom, it is wonderful to watch my children run into their classrooms to great and hug their teachers in the morning and then to also see them laughing and smiling when I pick them up at the end of the day. I honestly cannot say enough good things about this place. I would recommend it to any working parent without any reservations. In terms of the new director, I have to say that I completely disagree with the other reviews. She is very welcoming and caring. I am not sure where these other impressions come from. She oversees a well run center that has over 100 children and all of the teachers and children seem to be very happy. My oldest was in four different daycares before we settled with this one, so I have seen what other centers have to offer and I can honestly say that the quality of care and education provided at this center is WAY above anything else we have experienced."
