"My wife’s car broke down 1/2 hour from the house. It happened to be next to this meineke. I have work done to this vehicle typically closer to home, so I was apprehensive not knowing anything about where I was. But the manager Darrick made the difference, made my wife and I comfortable. The next day the other manager and staff had my car waiting and warm, ready to be picked up. Nice job highly recommend"

"Took vehicle for brake issue. Was told it needed new rear brake pads and drums as well as a front axle assembly. That work was done over a 2-3 day period. After I got it back I noticed a new problem, the ABS brakes kicked in at the last second before complete stop. Waited to see if it corrected itself and took it back in on a Thursday at 8:30 am and was told at end of day that it wasn’t looked at. I wasn’t pleased and was able to talk to the mechanic who after a quick test drive said he knew what it was. He said to bring it back Monday and he could do the adjustment to take care of the problem ( at no charge). He explained that ‘whoever did my brake job’ never adjusted the pads and that was causing the problem. He then said the guy that did it was fired ( unrelated to my issue) and he was now the only mechanic. I brought it back Monday at 8:00 am. I called late that day and was told he hadn’t been able to work on it yet, it would be done the next day. Long story short I got a call Wednesday asking if I approved the estimate they e-mailed. I said I never got an estimate ( e-mail or text). She said the actual problem was the other side front bearing assembly. I reluctantly approved the work after being assured it would be done that day, and after protesting that i was told by the mechanic the issue was the brake pad adjustment not done by their fired mechanic. She said she had no idea why the bearing hadn’t been identified as the problem because that’s what the issue was. I told her the issue developed after my first visit, she wasn’t impressed. I called late that day and was told the part hadn’t come in but the vehicle was up on the lift disassembled waiting for the part. I heard nothing the next day so I called and no part yet so she said she ordered it somewhere else. I told her to let her manager know this whole experience (from fired mechanic who didn’t do the proper job, delays unexpected additional needed work and overall cost of about $1900.00 over almost a months period) was unsatisfactory and i would appreciate some financial break on this last project or I intended to give them an honest bad review. The next day my vehicle was finally done- no break in cost. I have no idea if all the work that was done was needed or what the quality of the work was. I do know I have no trust in this shop and will never use them again. I recently moved here and chose them originally because of past positive experiences at Meineke where I lived before. My advice would be get a personal recommendation from a friend or someone you trust when looking for a repair shop. I should have. Lesson learned!"

"Excellent experience. Met with Porsche the day before who provided a detailed estimate for a full brake job on my son's car. The next morning the Tech was ready and all ordered parts were on-site. Job was finished on time, no disappointment from either myself or my boy. Job well done Meineke on Silas Deane highway in Rocky Hill CT! Will definitely return as the need arises."

"Charged 1300 to fix my AC and for a new compressor but we left without it working( after they “fixed” it the first time my car started smoking when we turned it on). The manager Charles explained to me everything they had tried including “taking the seats out of the car to redo the wiring” yet when we went to a new meineke the mechanic fixed it in less than an hour. The wiring to power the compressor had been chewed through by an animal yet this shop kept telling us that the compressor itself was dead. Checking this wire should have been the first thing they had done and no seats had to be removed to do this fix so I am convinced they just completely lied to us. We finally gave up when they wanted us to wait a few more days for a third compressor but never returned calls they promised to make to update us. Also had the secretary call and ask my bf for a tip for working so hard on the car. Had to return the car to the shop over four times and they kept it for over two weeks total. To add to that, the district manager agreed to pay for the wiring cost at the place we ended up going to and is now apparently not, making another person lose money due to a simple fix. I don’t think I have ever written a google review but this is just ridiculous."
