"Went for a full fitting Go to someone that uses trackman, and ultimately it's better to go somewhere where you're not hitting into a screen. Trackman and a range is best. My club fitting wasn't what I hoped. I hit one brand of driver and 3 wood, didn't but either because I wanted to get fitted, not just hit the newest club out there. 3 brands of irons and a few shafts on each. For wedges, he gave me a few and said how does it feel? no numbers, trajectory, spin Nada. Paid for a full fitting and didn't even hit hybrids or putter, he said he was too tired. I did buy some irons, and when I emailed him to ask when he tought they would be in, he replied "I'll let you know when they come in"....... I paid everything upfront and it wasn't cheap. I would expect better customer contact. Took 6 weeks. When I went to pick them up, I was hoping to test a few putters. Nope, he was too tired he said. So he "checked" my lie, and adjusted them. When I got home I noticed the grips weren't put on properly. Two of them have space between the shaft and butt of the grip so that abou to 3/4 to and inch is not covering the shaft and therefore it bends.... After my first range session with them I was baffled. I was hooking, and I mean hooking my shots no matter what I did. I went to another club fitter and had him take a look.... He had to adjusted my Lies significantly and bang! I was smoking the ball and could move it right to left, left to right or straight. The club fitter said whoever adjusted my lies didn't do a very good job at all, if he did adjust anything at all. Look, Jacques is a very nice guy and had fun at my session, but overall it wasn't a serious fitting after all was said and done. I mean, he even told me at one point, "oh I do this as a hobby". Not sure why I didn't just leave then, but this was my first full fitting. I had done driver fitting before with other people but decided to Try a "top 100 fitter". After this I just think that title is all about who moves the most inventory... My new clubs are great after i got them fixed, but overall, you can do everything I did in Greenwich at the PGA store for FREE! But if you want a full fitting fitting, you can pay way less probably anywhere."
