"I recommend going anywhere else. I called about getting my new boots heat molded and they said $10-20 bucks because I did not buy them from the shop. Fair enough, it’s 8min in the oven and then I stick my feet in the boots to let them mold he explained. There was no confusion. I arrived soon after the call and was greeted by an older portly gentleman, probably the manager. After explaining what I assumed would be a quick and easy transaction he tells me it’s $60 because I didn’t buy from the shop. Then walks over to a price catalogue, and says the heat mold is actually $60-100. Unbelievable. I re-emphasized the call I had less than an hour ago was quoted at $10-20 with someone probably still behind the counter. Without any room for negotiation he says “I’ll make my employees aware of the price,” and walks away. I would have expected the manager to honor the price given to me over the phone after I went out of my way to come to the store in ski socks for such an easy service. Nope! A big waste of my time and I’ll let my new Burton Ions break in the old fashioned way for a trip to Jackson Hole coming in a few days."

"My partner got me a snowboard and boots for Christmas, and I came in to get bindings and a helmet. My original boots were too big, and the staff helped me get better fitting ones without a fuss. They also fully prepped my snowboard by putting on my new bindings etc. There’s a good selection of helmets and gloves and other clothing articles too. I will definitely be back if I need anything wintersport-wise!"

"I have never had such a horrendous experience! First when I came in the store it was practically empty and I looked at some coats and they were all in the range of $700-$800. Both men had attitudes with me when I came in the store and when I asked for something cheaper they said there was nothing. But THEN I found two coats for less than $300 and they reluctantly got the clothing manager to try and come help me and I told her that I wanted a men’s north fade since the women’s north face are too snug, she immediately got an attitude and told me that “wearing a men’s coat isn’t the solution” and told me the sleeves would be too big and she didn’t look for anything else for me and implied that I couldn’t fit into anything in the store. She acted like she was doing me a favor and did absolutely nothing to accommodate me except tell me that nothing would be good for me. Is this how you treat a customer who is prepared to spend a couple hundred on a coat? Absolutely unacceptable customer service."

"I went there to get new snowboard/bindings/boots for my niece and new boots/bindings for myself (giving my old gear to my sister and bought a new board a month ago). I’ve been a snowboarder for 25 years, so I already knew exactly what I needed and could have ordered online, but wanted to support a local business. They had all the gear I needed for my niece, but didn’t have my size boots in stock, so they called the white plains location. They said even though they could have it delivered here, they won’t because they want me to try it on. I explained several times that I don’t need to try it on, as I have been snowboarding for 25 years, know my size, and already have the same boots (the ones I’m giving to my sister). Still, they insisted I go to white plains to “make sure it fits” because they didn’t want to order it and then have to send it back if it didn’t fit (understandable if I was a newbie, but I’m not). Would have loved to support a local business but they clearly didn’t want to make the sale, so I’m going to buy everything online instead…bummer."

"Attached are the before and after pics. The mangled one is after they “fixed it” I brought my jones all mountain twin (600$ board) for wax sharpen and a base grind and ptex fill on a core shot. Not only did the make it look worse, there is holes now and water is most likely going to get in and rot my board now. I thought repair means to fix something? Also they fully sharpened every part of my board even though I told them i ride a lot of park. No detuned edges, if I don't blunt it myself I will physically injure myself. . Nice guys working there though, but seriously this is atrocious. I got a 30$ refund i guess it’s all good though!"
