"Tiny crowded place. Friendly service. Ordered and got super lucky to get a seat by the window. The tables in the middle were right next to the line of people waiting to order and pickup, so it felt like people would be on top of us while we ate. Worth the wait for the Pork Belly Tacos, I wish they were in NJ, hehehe. BBQ Pulled Pork Tacos were OK. It was a good sauce for ribs, but it didn't go well as a taco. Hubby did like it more than I did, hehehe"

"The Taco Project hits on many levels reppin the taqueria w/a modern twist model n knockin it out of the park... the ambience is bright n IG worthy showcasing a bunch of photo ops! The food is equally as good as the decor, we ordered chorizo n pork belly tacos and both renditions were spot on.. the lil attention to details put them over the top. The crispy fried papas , the shredded radish... the guacamole! All aces!! Highly recommended n if it wasnt for the price being a lil steep I would be in there like gym wear on the regular still. Worth a trip out!"

"Of the many Mexican restaurants that I've reviewed, the best ones used the freshest, most authentic ingredients. The Taco Project is in the latter category. However, it goes one step further. While most Mexican joints play it safe by using your expected home-grown ingredients, The Taco Project takes some chances. The vegetable burrito I ordered possessed two noticeable differences. One was that it contained pickled shredded cabbage and a cheese that tasted just like feta cheese. These two differences made this dish memorable and added an explosion of flavors and textures with each bite I took. The fish tacos were presented in soft whole wheat shells, yet another difference between this establishment and the others. Oh, and they give you two choices of guacamole with chips, mild and spicy. It was to die for. The ambiance of this place was festive with a colorful mural full of Mexican motifs. Continuous music was piped in that had a lively beat. While I live an hour away in South Brooklyn, this place will now be my go-to Mexican place whenever I find myself in Tarrytown."
