About the Business

SCORE

SCORE is a finance institution located at 100 Martine Avenue in White Plains, New York, United States. Our volunteers are experienced entrepreneurs, corporate managers, and executives who offer their expertise to help small business professionals start, develop, and grow their businesses. If you're interested in becoming a mentor, we welcome you to join us.

We are excited to announce the National Small Business Week Virtual Summit, hosted by the U.S. Small Business Administration and SCORE on April 30 – May 1, 2024. This event will provide educational webinars, business resources, networking opportunities, and guidance from SCORE mentors.

In October 3, 2023, we hosted a successful event for women entrepreneurs in the Hudson Valley, featuring speakers, loan officers, and grant experts. You can now access valuable information and resources from the event online.

At SCORE, we believe in providing personalized support for all individuals, regardless of background or needs. Since 1964, we have supported over 11 million small business owners and entrepreneurs. We are always looking for individuals with diverse backgrounds to join us in various roles.

SCORE is funded in part through a Cooperative Agreement with the U.S. Small Business Administration. Our goal is to provide inclusive support and resources for all individuals looking to start or grow their small businesses.

"SCORE has been so helpful to my business. My mentor, Anne Kasdin has guided and challenged me to build a solid foundation for my small business. She works with me with website, social media, links and keywords, meta descriptions, and how to understand the cost. It is truly an eye opener for me and I'm so grateful for this service."

"I discounted the benefit of using SCORE when I started out in my business. My mentor was teaching me how to calculate the overhead for my business. I wished I paid better attention and understood what I needed to succeed. I have stayed with SCORE either way thru the years and truly see the value it offers. I am looking forward to being studious and working with a new mentor to grow my business."

"I was referred to Westchester SCORE as part of a course that I was taking at Westchester Community College. I needed help in marketing my business and decided to reach out to them for a mentor. It was the best decision that I ever made! Anne Kasdin is my mentor. As a result of working with Anne, I have rebranded my business and discovered a hidden talent! I look forward to our sessions because she not only challenges me to make the right decisions, but I am learning from her vast experience in marketing. I am excited about the direction that my business is taking and the strategy we've discussed to make it a success. I highly recommend the SCORE Mentors Westchester coaching program to new and established businesses."

"SCORE has been a great resource for me, and I have yet to take advantage of many of it’s offerings. One of the greatest benefits they provided me was that of a business mentor. They pair you with someone who has experience in the area(s) that you need help. They also offer free workshops. I plan to make use of many things that I have not had time to in the upcoming months. Anyone starting a new business would do well to seek them out as I am sure they have something that will help you in your growth journey. Success to you and B’BLESSED."
