"My 11 year old describes the food here as "bussin'" which I understand means REALLY GOOD. And it is. I haven't had a single menu item that I didn't like. I especially love the short rib tacos and carne asada tacos. The plaintains are heavenly. In a perfect world I would have a swimming pool full of the queso. There are only a couple tables inside, so we mostly do takeout. Papi's has been a great addition to Old Lyme!"
"Great tamales, reasonable prices. I was on a quest for authentic tamales in Connecticut. These are a traditional Mexican food at Christmas and New Years. I found some at a new place (to me) in Old Lyme. We will definitely be going back soon, not just for more tamales. They only had four pork left to sell on this day. The tamales are excellent. Authentic. And not on the menu. I’ll be back for the tortas, a big sandwich on a Mexican roll. Also on the menu are tacos, tostados, and burritos. There is nothing on the menu priced ove $15. Gracias Papi’s. Haste luego!"

"This place was sooooo good. Was not planned to come here but we saw it and said eh why not? Best choice!! You won’t regret coming here, everything taste homemade as well , it was perfect & service was great! The Carne Asada fries are HUGE ❤️"
