"Food was Meh… to say the least. There definitely are better Italian restaurants. I won’t be back here. The rice balls were not great. The peas in the rice balls were hard. Honestly they had like no flavor. Add some garlic at least. Also, I’d also suggest serving the marinara sauce on the side, so the balls don’t get soggy. The Alfredo was mediocre and I honestly make it better at home. The broccoli was soggy & very over cooked. Total waste of money unfortunately. None of the food was anything I’d go back for."

"First of all the music was too loud I couldn't have a conversation with the person I was sitting across from. Second because the side door was open and it was cold and when asked to close the door, he said it was hot behind the bar....don't freeze out your customers! and thirdly, my fish was very fishy, I'll say undercooked. I was still responsible for paying for this $30 dish but they did offer me something else on the house, so I asked for wings, I was hungry and wanted something fast. It shouldn't take more than 10 minutes but our food was wrapped up and we paid the bill and we were just tired of waiting. We won't be returning. I did cook up my dinner in the air fryer the next day and it was good."

"This was our second time to Fornarelli’s. The first time we got take out and it was good. This time we dined in and let me tell you the experience was amazing. There outside dining was perfect, peaceful, and comfortable. The staff was incredible, attentive, and the service was quick! The food was absolutely the best Italian food I’ve ever had. I ordered the caprese and my husband ordered the fried calamari for appetizers. When I tell you we’ve had fried calamari everywhere this has to be in the top two places with the freshness of the calamari. For our entrees my husband had the broccoli rabe and I had the spaghetti and meatballs. It was all to die for! We will definitely be going back again soon! Having them in Colchester is a huge asset to our town!"

"It was our first time there and we may give them one more try. The waitress was very good but it was over a half hour, maybe 45 minutes even, before we got our food. Kids loved their steaks, although one got prime rib instead of a New York Strip. My husband loved his seafood dish (see photo). My spaghetti and meatballs were tasty even though I would have preferred the spaghetti al dente. And lastly, the portions were so big that I had to take a picture (although I took the photos after we had eaten some)! With an appetizer of Calamari, I thought $160 was a reasonable price."
