"Awesome local joint, great to catch new films for good prices. The negative reviews confuse me - as if this theater claimed to be an AMC or Regal. Have realistic expectations and you’ll have a wonderful time. The new ownership has stated they’re working on the seating, so what’s there to complain about? I’m just glad to be able to see films on the silver screen these days. Can’t impress everyone, however I’m thankful for the selection of films and great value myself."

"Garbage movie theater. The cup holders have giants holes in them that can’t fit the bottled drinks they sell. When I asked if I could get a cup for my 6 year old they said I had to buy one. Horrible customer service. Maybe don’t have such POS seats? Small theaters, flat seating and absolutely filthy. You’d be better off waiting for the movie to come out on tv and you’d have a bigger screen anyway"

"I've been going to this theater for decades and I'm sad to say the service and quality has really gone downhill since the new ownership. Our first movie once we started going to theaters again in 2022 there was a rude sign visible in the office that the ticket vendor sits in. Every visit since the staff is apathetic at best if not outright rude. We saw a movie recently where we had to get up and close the doors ourselves to stop the light from washing out the screen because staff never came by at the start of the movie to shut them. One movie was very dark and the sound was off, no one would fix it. The chairs are dirty, the floor is dirty, and the ladies room was gross when we saw Barbie. Unfortunately the fantastic small theater in Catskill went out of business with the pandemic or we'd never set foot in Spotlight again, otherwise we'd have to drive to Albany or Kingston. Spotlight is hit or miss now instead of being a reliable mainstay, so keep that in mind when deciding on whether you want to see the movie locally or drive to a better theater."

"Been going here since I was a child. It may not be the best movie theater, but for the area they do well. "Usually" acceptably clean, prices are average and they tend to keep up with movie releases. Could use some updates and a deep clean for sure though"
