"Moved in March of 2022. By November, our dryer started malfunctioning. Immediately placed a work order on their portal. Received no response. Kept pressing and finally got the maintenance man to look at it. He took a picture of the error message on the machine and sent it to the "repair company". That was it. Have not seen these "repairmen" once. Fast forward to this past June of 2023. Dryer still not tended to and now dishwasher broke down. Placed another work order. Maintenance man came back, took a picture, left. Almost 7 months later and no resolution on that either. I have been getting the runaround for over a year! "The repair company comes when they want. We don't have the power to schedule appointments with them." WHAT IS THAT? A repair company that works when THEY want to come? I don't buy it. Maintenance man claims he has reached out several times to this company with no response. IT'S BEEN MONTHS AND MONTHS! Of course no response from the property manager after several phone calls and voicemails. THEY DO NOT CARE! They want you to give up and move out so they can mistreat the next tenant. DO NOT RENT HERE!"

"We have been living here just under a year and although the building is attractive and seemingly well maintained, we have run into an issue with a broken dryer in our unit that has not been fixed for 4+ months. After submitting multiple service requests on the building’s maintenance app as well as sending a certified letter to Fairfield LLC we have received no response or solution other than 2 visits from our building’s maintenance man who has told us the issue is out of his control. We have offered to contract separately to repair or replace the unit ourselves (using withhold rent) and still have not heard anything. It’s impossible to get anybody to help you and we feel lucky that it’s only our dryer and not out fridge or a bathroom appliance. For the ridiculously high amount of rent we pay, we expect and deserve better."

"My stay at Fairfield in St James seemed like a dream apartment until I actually moved in. Yeah they give you updated amenities but good luck sleeping past 7 am when they’re doing construction literally every single day outside your bedroom window and the workers are shouting to one another all day long. The noise never stops! Then, when Covid hit, I applied for Covid rent relief and was awarded over $17,000 to take care of rent until the end of my lease, but apparently Fairfield did not submit their end of the documents so they started sending me eviction notices stating that I wasn’t paying my rent. And I should mention that I am a victim of domestic violence, and the head of household on the lease is in jail and I needed to move for safety reasons. Honestly nothing about this apartment complex justifies living here. They are never available to help with anything Maintence wise and the construction noises are beyond irritating. They offer no amenities whatsoever and I waited weeks for repairs to be made. I got locked out and no one was available to let me in, so I had to pay $200 to get my locks changed because I had to wait until Monday (it was Sunday) Honestly, if I could give this place negative stars I would. So to sum everything up, my rent was paid for every month and they continued to send me eviction notices. I needed to leave the apartment due to safety reasons which I emailed the Fairfield about when the domestic violence occurred notifying them I am no longer responsible for the lease under the law that protects victims yet they are sending me court documents for unpaid rent meanwhile I’m protected by the law freeing me of any legal responsibility to the Fairfield. And I’m sure they will respond to this post, so just so you know, whoever reads this, I have made numerous attempts to speak with someone via email and phone for months now and no one ever gets back to me."

"I placed a concern about a leak on Thursday and was told it was fixed. By Saturday there was a massive amount of water in my apartment pretty much destroying everything. Fairfield with not return my calls, and not help me out with this or next months rent and now I don’t have a place to live. I was told that night they wouldn’t help me find a place to stay because my apartment was as livable because I still had a couch and a kitchen, meanwhile I couldn’t use my bathroom and the smoke alarms were destroyed. Water was leaking off of the light fixtures causing a fire hazard if I turned them on. Absolutely terrible customer service from this company. Do yourself a favor and stay away. How do you put a paying customer out of a place to stay during the holidays and offer absolutely no help."

"They truly don't care about tenants. Will shut off water (water is an included utility) and demand entry to your apartment all with no notice. Maintenance will yell to one another outside your window starting at 7am. They'll make you move your car from the lot while they park vans outside your front door, tearing up the grass and tracking mud into buildings. Takes them at least a week to respond to anything, the office seems very disorganized. The apartments are nice, but is it worth it?"
