"Where do I begin? I don't think it's possible to say enough good things about Paws Finding Peace (which, admittedly, can feel strange given the circumstances). From beginning to end, Boots's home euthanasia was handled with grace, kindness, and genuine compassion—something that can be hard to come by in the fast-paced, clinical setting of a traditional vet's office. Dr. Atkins treated our space with respect and our kitty like he was her own. She was patient and accommodating as well, which was so necessary when faced with a moment that we didn't want to end. When Boots's ashes were ready to come home, I was also gifted with SO many heartfelt and personal mementos to cherish and remember my sweet boy. Pam spoke with me like she's known me her whole life. This team went above and beyond for me, and it's not something I will ever take for granted. Grief is difficult and strange and complicated, but it was made a little bit easier with their help, which I didn't think was possible. Because the pain of loss is something that, unfortunately, comes with the gift of owning a pet, I will continue to recommend their services to everyone I know who has to endure this difficult experience. "Words cannot express the gratitude my wife and I feel for how wonderful Dr Atkins was when she came to help our Jazzmine pass. We were so focused on making it comfortable and relaxed for Jazz, that we never realized how much it would help us too. She was so gentle and compassionate with Jazz, and patient with letting us have time to say goodbye during the process. "We lost 2 of our girls in just one week. I had no idea what to expect from this process, and I felt so overwhelmed and worried about meeting someone for the first time, handling the paperwork, and inviting someone into our home (we just moved, and it is still a huge, barely manageable mess). From the very beginning, we were given so much patience, kindness, and support from the care team Jessica and Pam. Dr. Atkins met us where we were at mentally/emotionally, and I felt like I could be myself, which was such a special gift in those last moments with our girls.
