The Liberty Building

"Update: The heating problem has been partially resolved as of now, thanks to the building management and maintenance team's hard work. If I turn the AC heating mode on, it can increase the room temperature to 70, although it cannot reach a comfortable level for me such as 73-75. The management said that the problem will be solved soon, hopefully before the cold winter days. I am looking forward to a full resolution to the problem, after which I will update my review to 5 stars."

"We lived at The Liberty Building for about 6 months and had a fantastic time. The building is always clean, the neighbours are kind, and the location is perfect. The amenities are brilliant from the gym, library, and game room to the package collection, trash, and door bell systems. Our apartment was clean, had a lovely view, high ceilings, brand new kitchen, great built-in heating/cooling system, etc. Additionally, the new management (as of last year) made our move-in and move-out extremely quick and easy. If there was ever a light-bulb that needed changing or any other maintenance issue, it was dealt with almost immediately. If we're ever in New Haven again, we will definitely be back."

"I lived in a huge-space 1br loft with very reasonable price. The second floor makes the whole apartment like a 2br apartment. New kitchen with stainless steel appliances. Gas stove. I only need to take care of the electricity in addition to rent. Pet-friendly. The gym and laundry room inside the building are very nice and convenient. I like the library here a lot. It is a quiet and nice place with free wifi and computers for the residents. The best thing here: Excellent staffs and service! I feel I will never find leasing office people better than staffs here. Ryan and Scott helped me a lot since the beginning when I was planning to move here. Everything was quick and easy. It was always a wonderful experience to communicate with Ryan throughout all processes. He is so professional and so helpful. Maintenance requests were responded quickly. They treated my needs not just only for business and always tried to find the best solution for me."

"Great place to live! Centrally located in downtown New Haven. Very comfortable, tasteful, and spacious apartments. Building staff great, they go above and beyond to help out all tenants and make sure building is in great shape and running smoothly!"

"Rose and Camille are super nice and welcoming, but there is one manager who usually comes on Monday always speaks very loud, and uses improper words sometimes. I personally felt discriminated by her that every time she saw me in common room will pick up on me. She now even closed bathroom downstairs without allowing residents to use after all the stores and restaurants opened in New Haven. I felt paying such a high rent without getting the services deserved. But other than the one manager I've met so far after living in the building for one year, everything else is pretty good. I hope every staff can be friendly and respectful."
