"I brought my 3 year old here as a walk in appointment on a weekday evening. We had never been here and figured we would try it out. The stylist was quick and I really like the cut she did. My son is usually really good when getting his hair done... But this was an odd day, between his squirming and "boy fart humor", I thought the stylist was going to kick us out mid-haircut.... But she was patient... Really patient. I really like their stations too.... They all have Craftsman tool boxes for their products and tools. We will be back.... That is... If she will have us...."

"OMG! If I believed everything I read, I wouldn't go anywhere or have many experiences in life!! That being said, I was feeling scared and worried, not because of the rumor mill ... But I'm like a lot of folks, I don't trust anyone with my hair. Especially being new to the city and new to the salon, I was very hesitant but my hair was looking unkept and needed some TLC. I went ahead and called for an appointment, and the nicest woman answered the phone and setup my appointment for the following week with Laurie. I was so relieved when I met Laurie, and found her to be very personal, funny and truthful. We immediatley clicked and has been a great relationship! When I asked her, "Will this look good on me?" She'll tell me truthfully if it would or not, and told me why it wouldn't, and maybe show me a different way of getting the outcome I'm looking for, without having to spend so much money! Don't you want the truth ladies? I know I do! I was so happy with my cut and color... I came back a few weeks later for highlites! - And have been having Laurie as my hairdresser now for over a 1 1/2 and have no intentiions of ever going anywhere else. Why would I??? I love her! She's the only one I trust with my hair :) Later I found out that I had spoke with Gail Minakhom (West End Choppers one and only Licensed Cosmetologist) when booking my original appointment, and wanted to book a pedicure with her (I'm just as picky with my feet!) but was hesitant there too, as I had an awful experience in the past that left me scared to have my feet touched again. I found Gail to be soft spoken, calming and so comforting that I booked an appointment, and I'm so HAPPY I did! Now 1 1/2 years later I'm honored to give Gail free licensing to do what ever nail art or technique she feels like doing on both my nails and my feet. Those pedicures are so wonderful and relaxing and my toes always look pretty with my feet feeling so soft and callus free! I have brought my daughter to see Gail for a pedicure, and she now wishes she could have Gail work up in Massachusetts, where she lives and works. As I told my daughter you can't take her from me...
