"I can 100% recommend PennVet. The effort, time and thoughtfulness of the oncology exam with my dog was second to none: I’ve never had a vet visit before where they seemed genuinely caring about my dog and his treatment. Jakes and I are very grateful."
"Worst experience with Joseph Frame who refused to help with my sick kitten. I came through the ER so I know nothing is guaranteed but I called several times the day before to confirm that if my cat needs a CT scan it would able to be done here. I even had my Vet call to talk to a Vet from Penn who confirmed this case that they would help. Joseph Frame gave me attitude and said he couldnt find notes of this phone call. When I said fine I can ask my vet to call again to explain that my cat needs a CT asap he didnt wannt hear it. The next day I found another place who managed to do a CT Scan and thought it was very odd the Penn Vet didnt think this case was urgent enough to do it... Incompetent 4th year resident - Joseph Frame with a damn attitude too. All he did was look at my records i sent over and confirm what the previous vet had said and they still charge me a visit fee."
"I can't express enough how grateful I am for the amazing care and compassion that the doctors at PennVet provided to my very Good Boy, Rooster, during a challenging 3-month battle with cancer. They truly went above and beyond in every aspect of our experience. When we first got the news that Rooster had cancer, we called around to all the oncology departments around. They all had a one month wait. PennVet saw us within 3 days! Walking in the doors, we were incredibly comforted that this place was a hospital for our beloved dog, not simply an animal clinic. Rooster's doctors and the entire staff at PennVet were compassionate and understanding, offering us clear information on his diagnosis, treatment plan, and what we could expect. It was evident they weren't just treating our pet, but that they truly cared for our dog's quality of life. It was evident that their love for animals extended far beyond their professional duties. Rooster was always so happy to see them and go off with them for his treatments; it was comforting to see how much he loved them. When Rooster eventually and devastatingly lost his battle with cancer last month, the team showed an incredible amount of empathy and kindness. Their thoughtful gesture of a beautiful and touching sympathy card signed and personalized by everyone that knew Rooster touched our hearts. It was clear that our loss was felt deeply by all who had the privilege of caring for him. PennVet will be entrusted with any future pets' care. Thank you for being the extraordinary caregivers that you are."
"It was an amazing experience…Tiffany Vargas and Dr. Box took the best care of my Nina Pooh. Of course, it’s tough taking your pet to the vet but I am grateful they were treating her."
"would give this place 0 stars if I could. was recommended to come here after our vet found a mass on my dog during a routine check up. before we brought her here she was completely asymptomatic. we brought her to upenn for further testing and they were pushing tests on my dog that required anesthesia which we didn’t want to do. after we declined, they did some blood work and a different test with a light anesthetic to aspirate some masses. whatever they did single handedly made my dog 100x sicker. I took her home a different dog that day and she never recovered. during the week after her visit here, we attempted to contact the doctor who saw her for advisement or treatment for her sudden and rapidly advancing onset of symptoms.they do not ever answer the phone, and was told to email them. they would take 24 hours between each email. for emergent situations this is unacceptable and I won’t be driving my incredibly sick dog who hates the car in general an hour and a half to these people who either don’t care to help us or just want our money and not what’s best for the dog. wouldn’t ever go back, and wouldn’t ever recommend to anyone."
