"Loved everything about our stay! The updates are amazing and every detail was thought out. So clean and comfortable...modern beachy vibe! So easy getting into unit with our code. Parking on site and location is great - can walk to the beach or the bar next door... great market/deli across the street ! We loved being able to bring our dog and the proximity to town and Fairfield U is great."

"This hotel is quite stylish, with its lovely decor and a fantastic location close to the beach. They throw in some nice perks like bikes, beach chairs, towels, and access to a private beach – a real win. The virtual check-in/out process is also pretty smooth. However, there are a couple of things you might want to take into consideration. The blinds in the rooms don't do a great job of blocking out streetlamp light or providing privacy from pedestrians. It would be a good idea to add some curtains to address this issue. On the topic of room features, the walls are notably thin. I found myself able to discern my neighbors' activities quite clearly, from their TV programs to coughing and conversations. While the hotel does acknowledge potential noise from the bar below, the actual disturbance, especially the bass thumping from 10 pm to 2 am, was beyond what I anticipated. This was particularly inconvenient as I was on a work trip and needed a good night's rest for an early morning. To enhance the overall guest experience, it would be beneficial for the hotel to provide advance notice about potential noise disturbances. This would allow guests to come prepared with earplugs or consider alternative accommodations, especially those on business trips requiring an early start. Families with young children seeking an earlier bedtime may also find the current situation less than ideal. Improvements, such as enhanced wall insulation for sound dampening, could go a long way in mitigating these issues and making the hotel more suitable for various types of travelers. Despite my initial positive impressions and the desire to return, the noise disturbances during my work-related stays make it unlikely for me to revisit. I would hesitate to recommend this hotel, particularly for business travelers with similar needs."

"My stay at the DUNE was lovely. The room was very clean and comfortable. The bed was cozy. The attention to detail to make a guest feel like they have everything they need while away from home was much appreciated. There are tons of restaurants to choose from, the view is dreamy, and although I was staying at the DUNE for a business trip, it felt like an overnight vacation."

"The decor is minimalist and definitely an improvement. The blinds look great but, do nothing to block light in the morning and even have gaps that one can see in at night. I strongly recommend the modest addition of blackout curtains like virtually every other hotel on the planet. Mattress and linens were comfortable and the rooms were spotless. Our first evening was a holiday and the bar was closed, the students who live around here were all at home for the holiday. We slept great. The following night, business as usual at the Sea Grape bar and despite our rooms being at the farthest end of the complex and using earplugs and being used to it as we live in Brooklyn / downtown Boston, we could not sleep. The owners of this hotel are very honest about the adjacent bar but, perhaps they have not stayed in their hotel and don't appreciate the fact that being kept up until 2 am, one needs to be able to sleep in...cue the blackout curtains. The walls shook, people shouting in the parking lot and up / down the street. It's a party and if you are ok with that, this is a wonderful hotel. If not, look elsewhere."

"We enjoyed our stay at this Beautiful Hotel. Friendly Staff, very easy to check-in and checkout. Rooms are newly renovated, very comfortable furnishings and nice amenities. Parking on-site was convenient. We loved the access to the private beach. We got a kick out of the little bags of ice available for guests. The hotel is located close to the town center, many restaurants stores near by. There's a small local market across the street that serves great sandwiches. Highly recommend this hotel for anyone visiting the Fairfield area."
