Stop & Shop

"I do all of my shopping at Aldi and Costco. I come here for my quick little things. I need to pick up but glad I do not come here regularly. I also are not clearly labeled as to what is in them. But that is perhaps because I do not come here to grocery shopping so I don’t know the layout of the store. There’s never any associate around for me to stop and ask where something is either. However, it really frustrates me about this location. Is there self check out. This is an exaggeration, but if I do so little as to blink twice the machine freaks out and locks and asks for an associate. If you don’t trust me to self check out or if the machine does not detect the item in the bagging area get rid of self check out. They have so many cashier lanes at this location but only to her ever open and I don’t feel like waiting in line for 15 minutes when I could be in and out quicker with self check out."

"Not a great place, definitely not the place you want to be working. (From a former employee perspective) I only worked there for money in my pocket, just while I was finding another job. I wouldn’t shop here either though, a lot of the customers think they’re entitled to whatever they want in the store, and they often are very rude to employees who only make 15 an hour.. Doing pretty backbreaking work. The managers only make about 700 a week, that’s terrible. They also only care about the money they make each day, they don’t care about the well-being of the employees. or the setting for them. They make about 800,000 a week, just to put that in perspective for everyone. I worked there for almost 2 months and have often seen people very frustrated and living terrible lives here. More importantly, it is absolutely disgusting there. Very dirty, not sanitary at all. The porters barely do their job. I’m surprised they even passed a health inspection, but they probably tip off the health inspector to make them pass lol. And on top of that, you have snobby rich people, demanding that you give them the product they’re looking for INSTANTLY, if you’re an employee there. If you’re a customer there, it’s hard to enjoy a “ better shopping experience” like the company promises in their policy lol. Yeah, not a great place. The shelves are often dirty, near the meat department. there’s a lot of crud on them. They don’t clean them at all. There are very dirty working conditions, and they expected me to keep it cleaner than it was when I walked in. That doesn’t make sense, because it was an absolute disastrous mess when I walked in. So how could I make it any worse? All I did was help them, and they only paid me $100 a week. That’s not good to live off of. My review be a little bit biased, but on the other hand it’s coming from both perspectives because I have been on both ends. it isn’t really a good place to shop too. The meat in their possession isn’t good quality, they put expired things out on the shelf. their store brand meats are not great. They are not sanitary. They don’t actually care about the customers."

"Stop & Shop Doesn't knows what customer service and politeness anymore. Some gentleman who would not give me his name ,who Works there with name tag and vest. in the bottle room got very confrontational with me. Doesn’t induce himself walks into bottom room, starts ranting and raving that I was in there using it after 8 o’clock but say I guess let me use it and continue. But after walk in talk closes door behind himself with me inside like he was going to be confrontational, or want to get into a fight. I said what’s the need to close his door? He wouldn’t respond employee Stop & Shop. starts getting very angry about how I’m in there crushing bottles and apparently it was closed already . But the door was unlock and I didn’t see no sign, saying closed."

"We have been Big Y Shoppers and Stop & Shop for many years. As much as I hate to complain it seems like Big Y has lost their way. For prepared foods I would highly recommend Stop& Shop for variety and quality. We have made the change from Big Y, who is very convenient to us and travel to Stop & Shop for the prepared foods. It is well worth it. Try the baked chicken which I think is a healthier option as opposed to the fried chicken and delicious, the cobb salad wrap and the sandwiches were all excellent! Keep it up Stop & Shop!!"

"Found everything I needed. The aisles were very clean and tidy. The staff was friendly and very helpful. Got a special kick out of seeing Monty cruising around! So cool!"
