Welcome to Giant Public House, located at 6 Treachers Lane in Havelock North, New Zealand. Our establishment is a unique combination of a brewery and a public house, offering an unforgettable experience for all who visit.

Giant Brewing is an independent, locally owned and operated brewery that was born out of a small side project involving two brothers and a mate back in 2014. Starting in an old barn under Te Matapeak's majestic presence, we have always strived to create big flavors in our beers, despite being on a small scale.

Our beer selection is diverse and caters to various tastes. We offer a refreshing, light-colored beer based on the traditional 19th-century European-style pilsner, but with modern adjustments for a unique twist. For those who prefer a pale ale, we have a sessionable option with a solid malt base and the addition of four New Zealand hops throughout the brewing process. Additionally, our American-style pale ale features a seasonal variance of American and New Zealand hop varieties, ensuring a delightful taste experience. If you're a fan of India pale ales, our mix of old and new age New Zealand and English hop varieties will entice you with its fruity, citrusy, and slightly sweet notes. We also have a selection of one-off and seasonal beers, so every visit promises a new and exciting flavor.

At our pub, we pride ourselves on being a modern interpretation of a classic institution. We not only brew our own exceptional beer but also offer a rotating guest list of brews from other independent breweries across New Zealand. We believe in supporting local businesses and showcasing the best the region has to offer.

But our passion for beverages doesn't stop at beer. We also have a great selection of local wines and ciders for those who prefer a different kind of drink. If spirits and cocktails are more your style, we have you covered as well. Our bartenders are skilled at crafting delicious cocktails that will satisfy even the most discerning palate.

To accompany our fantastic drink offerings, we have partnered with Good Company Catering to ensure that your taste buds are always satisfied. From delicious bar snacks to hearty meals, our food menu is designed to perfectly complement our beers and drinks.
