Welcome to Charlotte McLachlan - Registered Psychotherapist, located in Dunedin, New Zealand. At our establishment, we understand that many individuals seek psychotherapy during times of crisis when they feel lost, stuck, or out of control. Whether you are facing relationship issues, uncertainty about your life's direction, grief, anxiety, or depression, we are here to help.

Often, the issues that trouble us have been with us for a long time. We may fear that these problems are too overwhelming to discuss, but in most cases, they have already occurred, such as childhood rejection or trauma. These experiences may have left us with distorted beliefs and outdated responses that limit us from living our fullest lives.

As trained professionals, our psychotherapists will listen empathically and provide a safe space for you to discuss things you may have never shared with anyone before. Through regular meetings, we aim to understand the core of the problem and offer insights and resolutions. Our approach is built on trust, respect, and confidentiality.

I, Charlotte McLachlan, am a Registered Psychotherapist and a full member of the New Zealand Association of Psychotherapists. With a primary qualification as a Teaching and Supervising Transactional Analyst (TSTA), I offer both psychotherapy and supervision services in Dunedin. I work with individuals, couples, and groups, providing both brief and long-term psychotherapy.

With a diverse educational background in Art and Social Work, I have focused my training on Transactional Analysis, group work, and Psychodrama. I have gained valuable experience working with a wide range of issues and clients through my work at Rape Crisis Dunedin and Otago Polytechnic Counselling Service. Over the years, I have developed a particular interest in working with trauma.

My office is located in West Harbour, Roseneath, Dunedin 9023. It offers a private and discreet environment with free parking. If you prefer public transportation, the office is less than 5 minutes away from a bus stop. Directions can be provided upon scheduling your first appointment.

Please note that I require a minimum of two working days' notice for cancellations. Failure to provide adequate notice will result in the full session fee being charged.
