About the Business
Welcome to Sara Cohen School, Dunedin's premier institution for students with intellectual disabilities. Located at 44 Rutherford Street, our school has been serving the needs of the Dunedin region for over a century, and we are dedicated to supporting students and their families now and in the future.
At Sara Cohen School, we have a highly trained and dedicated team of Teacher Aides, Teachers, and Therapists who are committed to meeting the unique needs of our community. Our primary goal is to support our students in achieving their full potential as learners and active members of the community. To accomplish this, we have developed a curriculum that is tailored to each student's individual needs and goals. We believe that by setting goals in collaboration with the student, their family, teachers, and therapists, we can ensure that our students are learning what is most important to them.
I am incredibly proud of the work that our staff does and the programs and therapies we offer. It is through these efforts that we are able to achieve the best outcomes for our learners. If you are a parent or caregiver of a child who you believe would benefit from a specialist education, I encourage you to come and visit our facilities. I would be more than happy to personally give you a tour and provide more information about how we can support your child's educational journey.
