Welcome to BaySwim, located in the beautiful Bay of Plenty, Mount Maunganui. As an establishment and point of interest, we are dedicated to teaching people of all abilities and ages how to be safe, confident, and have fun in and around the water.

At BaySwim, we offer unrivalled value for money. When you enroll, not only do you gain access to our top-notch pools, but your Bayswimmer and caregiver (if aged 5 and under) can visit anytime for free. Whether you want to stay and play after lessons, visit on the weekends, or simply get in some extra practice, our doors are always open.

We take pride in the wide variety of lesson options we offer, and you can read about the swimming journeys of our BaySwim students to gain insight into the progress they have made. From beginner lessons to advanced techniques, we have programs designed to cater to everyone's needs.

During school holidays, we understand the importance of keeping kids active. That's why we offer special programs to ensure they stay engaged and have a blast during their break.

We also understand that unforeseen circumstances can arise, which is why we offer one replacement lesson per participant, per swim school term, free of charge. This allows flexibility for situations such as illness or injury. Just make sure to book your replacement lesson within the same term, two days in advance, and subject to availability.

Safety is our top priority, especially for children under the age of 10. All children must wear a color-coded wristband under our supervision rules. For more information on our supervision rules, please visit keepmesafe.co.nz.

Our instructors follow a carefully designed program to create technical swimmers with good stamina. We believe in the power of repetition, so our programs are structured to be repeated with small changes each week until all the necessary skills are achieved. We believe in rewarding hard work with playtime after the lesson.

Once you or your child successfully meet the move up criteria for a level for two consecutive weeks, our teachers will notify the On Deck Supervisor, indicating readiness for the next level. You can then book the new level with our friendly reception team.

Swimming caps are recommended for children over 3 years of age as they help keep hair out of faces and eyes, maintain pool hygiene, and keep swimmers comfortable by keeping water out of ears. We have a great range of goggles and swimming caps available for purchase at our pools, and you'll even receive a 10% discount.

Please note that goggles and swimming caps are not required for Sensory Swimming Lessons, as we aim to create a comfortable and sensory-friendly environment.
