Welcome to The Raft, Tauranga's finest espresso, bar, and eatery! Located on Chapel Street across from the estuary, our stunning location provides the perfect backdrop for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. In these post-Covid times, we understand the challenges that many hospitality venues face due to staff shortages. However, our friendly staff are here to serve you to the best of their ability. We kindly ask that you be patient and respectful to those who have shown up to ensure your dining experience is enjoyable. Thank you for your understanding.
Our opening hours are as follows:
- Monday to Thursday: 7.00 AM – 4.00 PM
- Friday: 7.00 AM – 6.00 PM (Happy Hour from 4-6 PM)
- Saturday: 8.00 AM – 5.00 PM
- Sunday: 8.00 AM – 4.00 PM

"Called in for a lunch here as its a good place for my coeliac wife to eat. Their gf options are somewhat limited, and have never changed, so getting a little boring eating the same thing each time. I had their special Fettuccine for lunch which was delicious, but I thought it was a bit expensive for a lunch, took a long time to arrive, and there was way too much. I usually eat a lot, but it was too much for me. Still, a good place to visit occasionally with friendly staff."
