"some man was working there and i asked if he could find my size for a pair of shoes, he jumped up on the counter and spat on my face then preformed a wrestling move called the "rko". I broke my neck and im now paralysed from the neck down. Im still not sure what i did wrong (maybe i came at his lunch break or something?? I was there at 1 pm). I woke up with no clothes on and all the money from my wallet gone, can someone please help me find this employee ive got a bone to pick with him..."

"Very bad and disappointing service. My daughter bought the wrong size shorts and we tried to exchange the next day but was told we couldn’t because the tag had been removed."

"Do not shop at Botany. Rudest staff who do not know the law. My partner purchased a pair of pants yesterday. He didn't like the fit so took them back to return then. Still in same condition, no damage, with receipt. The staff wouldn't take them back as the tag wasn't on the pants but in the bag. The guy told me he had no manager when I asked to speak to him. I called Manukau spoke to the duty manager there who was happy to accept the return. Worst customer service ever, wouldn't give me his name so I could complain and had his name bag turned around so we couldn't see. 101 on how to loose customers, looking at other reviews this store is brilliant at terrible customer service. Manukau is awesome go there, they refunded us no questions asked"

"We were very disappointed with our experience at the Stirling Sports Pop Up store today. My husband bought myself some shoes from the Stirling Sports Pop Up store at botany mall as a Xmas gift. When buying the shoes he asked the sales person if he could exchange or return it after Xmas and the sales person said yes. He made sure to ask this before completing the purchase. He has now seen on the receipt that it says the exact opposite…’no returns or exchanges’. Had he known this upfront, he would have not made the purchase. We went in store today to explain what happened and the owner was not interested when we said there was no signage of their returns policy and that his staff member provided false info. We also stated that we didn’t need a refund and would like to exchange it for something else in store to the same value or we would pay more. I thought that being the owner of the store he would atleast honour an exchange…We’ve never experienced such a bad customer experience at a botany store before. Our only thoughts are to contact head office as we’re not wanting our money back now but would want an exchange of another item. It now feels like such a waste of money and awful customer experience… **Update as of 10 Jan 2023** Hi Ash Thanks for your response. I received an email today from Stirling Sports head office stating that I could get a refund on our purchase directly from the head office. The Head Office apologised and said that due to the circumstances of us being advised of incorrect returns terms, they are happy to honour a refund on return of the shoes.** I would also like to note that there was no display of any return terms in the store at the time leading up to Xmas and on Boxing Day. When we pointed this out to you, you ignored us and kept referring to the receipt. I’ll go back to buying from Rebel Sports in future and I’m happy that I followed up with your head office to get a better customer outcome."

"Appalling service. The owner is extremely rude and prioritises profit over any semblance of good customer service. He does not honour the exchange policies explicitly stated by his staff prior to sales being made, and essentially tells you to kick rocks if you ever need to exchange a product. We will be lodging a formal complaint with the Commerce Commission, as many other shoppers have been stung by this greedy franchise operator. *UPDATE in response to the owner: the return policy was absolutely not displayed on the counter and you know it. I asked you specifically why your policy wasn't displayed anywhere in store at the time and you never addressed my question. Your response is a bold-faced lie."
