Please note that groups wishing to use the park for organized events, field trips, school activities, or large gatherings must submit a park booking request at least 3 weeks prior to the event.

To access Awakairangi Park, you can enter from Totara Park Road, Kentucky Street, Brightwater Crescent, or Ngati Tama Park. The park is unmarked, but upon request, it can be marked for your convenience.

We also encourage visitors to practice river safety when swimming in Upper Hutt's rivers. Please be aware of the current and take necessary precautions to ensure a safe and enjoyable experience.
