Welcome to the New Zealand Veterinary Association Te Pae Kīrehe (NZVA), the premier membership association representing veterinarians in New Zealand. With a rich history dating back to 1923, we have been proudly supporting our members and the veterinary profession for almost a century.

At NZVA, we are committed to staying at the forefront of the veterinary industry. We offer valuable resources on topics such as epidemiology, food safety, animal welfare, and biosecurity. We are also actively involved in advocating for important issues in the field of veterinary medicine. We recently welcomed the Environment Select Committee's report recommending a nationwide cat management framework, which we believe is a significant step towards protecting both the welfare of cats and the native wildlife of New Zealand.
To further support our members, we have established partnerships with reputable organizations such as Provet, Massey University, Nestlé Purina PetCare Ltd, and Southern Cross Pet Insurance. These collaborations allow us to provide additional resources and benefits to our members, ensuring their professional growth and success.
