"Last Friday, a few friends and I attended Ivy's monthly drag competition and had a wonderful time! The presenter slayeddd and was extremely entertaining. The competitors were wonderful at their craft and really knew how to engage with their audience. In between sets, we danced to an amazing playlist! Many of the clubs I've been to in Wellington so far play only 2010s remixes, but Ivy Bar's DJ played current music and mixed it up. We had sooo much fun! Our drinks were alright (could still have used more alcohol for flavor). We'll absolutely be back again!"

"Smells really bad inside. Music wasn’t really good and drinks a bit overpriced. Really wanted it to be good since is the only lgbt place known in the city but we had to leave after half an hour"

"Went to come in last Friday night at about 10.30 and was told by the drag queen at the door need to pay a "koha" to get in. She then said most people give $10 or $20 which is astounding that she would try and force that on as a "koha" for a show that was 30 minutes from finishing. Disgraceful money hungry behaviour that was essentially strong arming me to pay a ridiculous amount just to walk into a bar"

"WATERED DOWN SPIRITS Seemed like a pretty good atmosphere , my mood quickly changed after my first drink ..... watered down Vodka. I was gonna complain but my friend said "don't worry, I'll get us a shot" so after puring the shots my friend was having issues with the eftpos machine ( she's from another country ) and the barman/woman ?? had a tantruma nd pured the drinks down the drain and walked off , other member of staff was equally unhelpful an patronising , was tempted to ram eftpos machine down down someones throat. WATERED DOWN DRINKS - POOR SERVICE - AGEIST STAFF ."
