"Great pub, beer garden out the back, good selection of tap beers by the pint or by the jug. Plenty of TV's around, if you want to watch the horse racing or a sports match like the Rugby Union. Near to public transport, plenty of deals regards to food and drink for those who are wanting a feed with their drink."

"I can't speak for the food at all because I didn't have any, but as a bar I really like it, very "local" feel to the place, everyone kind of acts like they know each other even when they don't, the staff were genuinely friendly and helpful and extremely polite about last call, and the little fire outside in the courtyard makes it ideal for any smokers even over Wellington's windy winters. Highly recommend if your new to Newtown and hoping to meet some nice people."
