We believe in using the finest ingredients, which is why our charcoal oven is fueled with heavenly apple wood sourced from nearby Harcourt. This sweet-smelling wood enhances the flavors of our dishes, adding an extra layer of deliciousness to every bite.

Join us for dinner from 5:15pm Tuesday to Saturday, or indulge in a delightful lunch experience from 11:45am on Thursday to Saturday. We understand that our guests have different preferences and schedules, which is why we now offer an express lunch option on Thursday, Friday, and Saturday. If you prefer a long, leisurely lunch experience, we still have that available too.

"First time visiting the woodhouse and all I can say is if you haven't already do play this place a visit. The waitress who served us was very friendly and made us feel very welcome. The atmosphere was stunning beautiful fireplace crackling away. The tables spaced well enough apart that you still had room to move and feel comfortable. We started our meal with the porkbelly starter this was beautiful so tender and I wish this was a main dish because it was so delicious. We also got the homemade onion rights these also were absolutely delicious and so crispy. For mains we got the house blended wagyu burger I only managed to get a small bite of this as my wife got literal chills after her first bite and that's a great sign the burger was so moist and no one flavor over powered any other. Personally I got the O'Connor scotch fillet the steak was so tender and almost didn't need a knife to cut it and was perfectly cooked. 10/10 would go again"
"An established place well known for well prepared steaks, and we were not disappointed. Welcoming team members provide well-rehearsed welcomes and a run-down of available menu items. There was comfortable seating in a relaxing atmosphere to enhance the dining experience. The well-prepared steak and accompanying sides were delicious. We did find the pork dish very tasty, but a bit firm and drier that we'd liked. Overall a rather enjoyable afternoon with nice food and great service."
"Absolutely amazing food. Have had food here about 4 times - Most recently had the wagyu eye fillet and oh my God my it was amazing. Best steak I've ever had and I've had alot of steaks from restaurants. Sides were delicious too - had the cauliflower and green beans. If you spend any time in Bendigo you have to go here."
