Welcome to Darwin Irish Dance, located in the heart of Woolner on Bishop Street. As the largest and longest running Irish dance school in the Northern Territory, we are proud to have been a part of the Darwin community for over 25 years.
At Darwin Irish Dance, also known as Rince na hÉireann, we are passionate about fostering a love for Irish dance in each of our students. Our team of qualified and experienced teachers create a supportive and inclusive environment where students of all ages, from 3 to over 70, can excel.
We believe that Irish dance is more than just a form of physical activity; it is a way to develop important life skills. Through our classes, students learn the values of loyalty, discipline, leadership, and the importance of being a team player.
Established in 1996, Rince na hÉireann Darwin Irish Dance Association has become a staple in the local community. With approximately 60 members, we are a close-knit group that enjoys performing at various community events throughout the year. From St. Patrick's Day festivities to the Nightcliff Seabreeze Festival, The Royal Darwin Show, and the Multicultural Harmony Soiree, our dancers bring the vibrant spirit of Irish dance to the stage.
Our school is dedicated to promoting the future of Irish dance, encompassing both traditional and contemporary dance styles. In addition to dance, we also celebrate the rich culture and music of Ireland, ensuring our students have a well-rounded experience.
