Welcome to Durack Childcare Centre | Journey Early Learning! Located at Packard Avenue, 29 in Durack, Australia, our warm and homely early learning centre is designed to inspire adventure and joy in your little explorer. At Durack Childcare Centre, we believe that learning should be fun. That's why our education approach focuses on opening our little adventurers' minds to a variety of different activities and connecting them with the wider community. From visits to the nearby lake to learn about water awareness and nature-based learning, to swimming lessons, family picnics, library visits, Fitness Fridays, and language lessons, we offer a range of experiences to engage and educate our children. Yoga is also a favorite among our little ones, not only for its fun and playful nature but also for the trust it builds between our children and educators.

Transitioning to school is a major focus for us, and we work hard to ensure a smooth process. By providing a safe and secure environment, we help our children develop confidence, resilience, and a strong sense of self for the journey ahead. Our Kindergarten classrooms are intentionally designed to align with the Journey Standards and the Early Years Learning Framework and Curriculum, ensuring that every child is prepared for school. Our Government Approved Funded 3 and 4-Year-Old Kindergarten Classrooms are run by ACCEQA approved Early Childhood Teachers and Qualified Educators, providing ongoing support through our School Readiness Program.

I'm Chantelle, the Centre Manager at Journey Early Learning Durack. With my Diploma in Early Childhood Education and Care and 7 years of experience in the sector, I am passionate about providing children with the opportunity and space to learn and develop their own individual personalities. Our team at Durack strives to give children choices, respect their voice, and support their learning and development.

In addition to our comprehensive curriculum, we offer a range of activities and programs, including swimming lessons, Fitness Fridays, library visits, mindfulness and yoga, a language program, cultural introduction with Eddie, and Little Lambs Playgroup. We believe that nature-based play is the greatest teacher, and it is a core part of our curriculum. Through outdoor play, children learn vital life skills such as confidence, independence, exploration, cooperation, and respect for the environment.
