"Sadly, we had a poor experience here. Our vehicle was booked in for a DPF additive top up and subsequent burn due to suspected blockage. We were aware there were other issues but as the vehicle was European and our regular mechanic was booked up for 6 weeks or so he recommended we take the vehicle to Pride to get the burn done in the first instance. We advised Pride of this when both booking and dropping the car off. We also informed them of the issue around the potential suspected blockage. After dropping the vehicle off, later that afternoon we received a phone call notifying us of "other issues". After explaining that we weren't interested in having these issues fixed at their workshop and that it was in for a specific job we were advised that the bill had already accumulated to just under $600. This amount did not include any work toward the DPF additive top up or burn. The whole amount was for diagnostics for which we didn't request. We also received a quote to fix the additional repairs of around $5k. We requested that the work be undertaken that the vehicle had been booked in for, nothing else and not to go over $1,000. After 3 weeks, and three phone calls, all from us, we were advised that they "couldn't find the fault, the DPF additive had been topped up, but a DPF burn had not been completed." They also advised that they had stopped work on the vehicle some two weeks prior as the budget of $1,000 had been reached. When asked why we hadn't received a phone call to collect the vehicle we were told "not sure". They begrudgingly undertook the DPF burn and held the $1,000 budget. The vehicle has now been fixed at our local mechanic for a fraction of the price Pride quoted us. All in all, a disappointing experience for us and as such we can't provide positive feedback. We hope this is a one off and that others have a better experience than we did."
