"TL;DR - Friendly, good quality, reasonably priced hair salon especially if you have Asian hair. I have been having my hair cut at Comachi for the better part of two years now. Simply put, there is no other place in Cairns that is able to understand the peculiarities of Asian hair. Plus, they actually understand what a simple haircut is (a rarity these days as salons try to outdo each other in offering complicated expensive treatments) - no fancy stuff if you don't want it. Standard cuts include a wash. Prices are comparable or better than the hairdressing chains. Having built rapport with some of the hairdressers, they greet you by name, and the atmosphere is bright, friendly and not edgy. Their English is not the best, but if you bring a photo or picture along, they will likely do your hair justice."
