He obtained a Graduate Diploma in Pedagogics/Social Work and a Graduate Diploma in Psychology (DIP PAED DIP PSYCH) from Freiburg, Germany. These qualifications are equivalent to a Master's degree. Since 1989, Michael has been a member of the Australian Psychological Society (MAPS) and is also a fellow of APS College of Clinical Psychologists. From 2003 to 2007, he held an APS College membership for Forensic Psychologists.
At North Qld Psychology Services, Michael specializes in adult mental health, offering support for stress, anxiety, depression, trauma, PTSD, addiction, and anger management. He is trained in a wide range of therapies, including hypnosis for smoking cessation and Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR).
In addition to his practice in Townsville, Michael operates a monthly visiting clinic for the Tableland/Cairns region, with rooms at the Kuranda Medical Centre. This ensures accessibility and convenience for those in need of his expertise.
