At North Queensland Psychology Services, we are proud to be led by Michael, a highly experienced clinical psychologist with over 30 years of practice in North Queensland. As the director and owner of our institution, Michael brings a wealth of knowledge and expertise to our team.

Michael's qualifications include a Graduate Diploma in Pedagogics/Social Work and a Graduate Diploma in Psychology, both obtained in Freiburg, Germany. These qualifications are equivalent to a Master's degree, showcasing his dedication and commitment to his profession. He is a member of the Australian Psychological Society (MAPS) since 1989 and a fellow of APS College of Clinical Psychologists. Additionally, he held an APS College membership for Forensic Psychologists from 2003 to 2007.

With a keen interest in adult mental health, Michael specializes in areas such as stress, anxiety, depression, trauma, PTSD, addiction, and anger management. He is also proficient in various therapeutic approaches, including hypnosis for smoking cessation and Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR).

In addition to our main clinic in Townsville, Michael operates a monthly visiting clinic for the Tableland/Cairns region, with rooms at the Kuranda Medical Centre. This allows us to extend our services and reach to individuals in surrounding areas, ensuring accessibility to quality mental health care.
