Welcome to Cairns Esplanade Muddy's Event Lawn, located at Cairns City, Esplanade, 52-54. Our institution is a unique establishment that combines a park, a point of interest, and a hub for various activities.

One of the highlights of our institution is the offering of eight free Active Living fitness classes along the Cairns Esplanade. These classes cater to all levels of fitness, ensuring that everyone can participate and stay active while enjoying the beautiful surroundings.

The Esplanade itself boasts three playgrounds that promote active play for children and families. These playgrounds are free to enter and provide a fun and engaging experience for kids of all ages.

For those seeking a more active lifestyle, there are numerous facilities to choose from along The Esplanade. The Lagoon, Beach Volleyball Courts, and fitness stations (green gyms) offer opportunities to exercise and enjoy outdoor activities.

If you're planning a gathering or event, we have a range of BBQ facilities and picnic areas available along the Cairns Esplanade. These areas are free for casual use and operate from 6am to 9pm daily. Additionally, convenient amenities such as toilets, showers, lockers, and parking are located throughout the Esplanade to enhance your visit.

Please note that if you intend to use the Esplanade for a commercial activity, a permit may be required. However, the parklands themselves are free for casual use and can also be hired for private events.

As you explore the Cairns Esplanade, you'll come across various public artworks and memorials that showcase the rich history of the region. Take a leisurely stroll and admire these amazing pieces that add beauty and cultural significance to the area.

We also welcome dogs on the Esplanade, although they are not allowed in the Lagoon, surrounding parklands, or within 2m of playgrounds and barbecues.

Please note that the Cairns Festival Grand Parade will not be rescheduled this year, as advised by the council. However, there are numerous other events and activities that take place throughout the year, so keep an eye out for those.
